Intarsia Knitting

If you like to add color to your knitting, but not quite sure what to do, why not try intarsia.
Here is a great site where you can get free intarsia pictures or make your own. You can also color it the way you want it to see how you like it.  Here's a Cute picture from there.

Wouldn't those look great on a Christmas Stocking!

Have I Come Across a Beautiful Site or What?

This website is so beautiful. All of the items are made in Peru, and they show you abit of how they go about making the sweaters. As a knitter I Know how extremely hard and time consuming it would be to make these goregous sweaters. People don't want to pay for hand made items. Free trade has ruined the skill and workmanship that goes into a handmade item. Myself I think that some of these sweaters are still underpriced, because I feel that the maker really isn't recieving enough to produce these items. But then if they were any more higher in price,no one would buy them. I will put the link on, and a few of my favorite sweaters.

How Very Much GOD Love's US!

Psalm 56:8

King James Version (KJV)

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

Bring Your Troubles to the Lord He will Listen.  He truly Cares!

The history of the tear bottle is captivating and poignant. Tear bottles were prevalent in ancient Rome and Egypt, when mourners would collect their tears and bury them with loved ones to show honor and devotion.

Tear bottles re-appeared during the 19th centruy Victorian era, when tears were collected in bottles with special stoppers; the tears evaporated and once gone, the mourning period ended, but the bottle remained as a token of eternal devotion.

Free Picture's for your kid's to color Or give you inspriation!

Dover Publishing has some great books.  I just bought about 11 of them, they have great sale's.  I even got some book's for $2.77!  Also they have a sampler package that come's right to your own email.  They send different sample type's of the book's.  Some for adult's and most for kid's.  Today I noticed that they have sent two downloadable picture's.   I thought I would put them on here for you you see. Maybe you will be able to paste and copy it to your computer and download it from here.

These didn't show up as big as the download page.  But all you have to do is go to www.Doverpublishing.com  and get the sample page's, and you will be able to download them for free!  I think that's a good deal!

Fall Sweater's

I figured since it has been awhile since I posted, I would add a few more sweater's that caught my eye.  These first one's are more elegant, and I think could be worn day or night depending how you want to dress it up.  They are still very light wearing and a shawl or wrap could be worn over top. I found these at 'Anthropologie'

Here are other's that I found looking at store's website's for their new fall sweaters.  I really think any age could pull these off!  I hope you like them, let me know.

Early Christian Life

I just entered in one of my favorite books, Quo Vadis by Henry k Sienkiewicz It is a very hard book to read because it goes into great detail how the Christian's were pursecuted for their belief. I thank God that we can worship Him today without hiding and worrying if we would get caught and killed.

Paisley.......Yay or Nay?

Paisley's, what can I say I just love Paisley's. I have seen a few incorperated into Knitting, but I would really love to see a whole hand knitted sweater done in paisley pattern.
